I like to keep things very simple, I am that kind of guy.
There are two types of pain and we aren’t talking about physical pain.
The pain I am talking about is the pain of success v failure.
The two types of pain are:
- Pain of regret, and
- Pain of discipline.
These two pain are literally self-explanatory.
The first one, we feel the pain of regret of what should have been done, what could have been done and what we must’ve done.
It is said that in our last seconds on this planet all we have is regrets.
The second pain, the pain of discipline.
The best way I can describe this pain is by using the already popular analogy of the iceberg (to represent success), all we see is the tip of the iceberg, though we don’t see what is under the water, in regards to success, this can be best described as:
- Late nights,
- Disappointment,
- Early mornings,
- Studying,
- Nos and let downs,
- People discouraging you,
- Financial struggles, etc.
So, what pain would you much rather suffer from?
Pain of regret?
Or,
Pain of discipline?
I would love to hear in the comments box.
Till next time,
Jorge
Without any hesitation or doubt, I would much rather feel the pain of discipline. I think the words, “should, could and would” have no value and no purpose for individual success.
